Upon his release, Price was arrested, charged with murder and transported to the Chilton County Jail by Jemison Police.

Price, 25, is accused of shooting to death his wife, 24-year-old Leaj Jarvis Price at Jemison Internal Medicine, which is near their home, as she attempted to escape him.

After a three-hour standoff with police, Price was apprehended. He had suffered what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

“In addition to the original murder charge, we have now officially charged him with three separate counts of making terrorist threats, which all three are Class C Felony charges,” Jemison Police Chief Shane Fulmer said in a press release. “These charges are a result of threats and actions done by Price toward witnesses during this horrific incident.”

Price is being held with no bond.
