Lorraine Ann Clavette Walker Rice

Lorraine Ann Clavette Walker Rice, age 86, of Verbena, passed away on Feb. 21, at home.

She was born in Lansing, Mich., the daughter of the late Cyril and Neva Clavette.

She was preceded in death by her husband Richard R. Rice and her brother Robert Clavette.

She is survived by sons, Richard L. Rice (Chris) of Marble Hill, Ga. and Charles R. Rice (Anita) of Montgomery; daughters, Karen K. Milton of Verbena and Sandra L. Edwards (Rickey) of Clanton; five grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

She was a homemaker who dedicated her life to raising her children and grandchildren, and was an active member of the Verbena United Methodist Church.  She passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family and friends.

Visitation was held on Monday, Feb. 23, from 6-8 p.m. at the Verbena United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 24, at 11 a.m. at the Verbena United Methodist Church with the Rev. Hunter Pugh officiating.

Burial will follow in the Verbena Cemetery in Verbena.
