Rev. Claude William Davis, 87, of Clanton, died Feb. 4 at Hatley Health Care in Clanton.

He was born Dec. 1, 1927, in Wilcox County, son of the late Clifford Collins Davis and the late Florance Christell Shumate Davis.

He was a pastor.

Surviving are his sons, the Rev. Arthur (Sandra) Davis of Clanton, Allen (Leslie) Davis of Clanton and Michael (Theresa) Davis of Talladega; daughters, Shirley Sansom of Abilene, Texas and Wilma (Randell) Kelley of Clanton; 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford Collins and Florance Christell Davis, and wife, Ida Romania Barrett Davis.

Friends will be received from 12-1 p.m., Feb 6 at Glad Tidings Church of God.

Services will be held Feb. 6 at 1 p.m. at Glad Tidings Church of God with the Rev. Billy Boatright and the Rev. Odell Bryant Officiating.

Interment will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery in Clanton.
