The Verbena Red Devils boys basketball team celebrated senior night on Thursday, sending their seniors off with one final win at home, this time at the expense of the Billingsley Bears, 67-47.

Six points from Hakeem Underwood during the closing minutes of the third period led the Red Devils to a 50-26 lead going to the final period of play.

Nine points from Rashaud Caver led the Bears on a 13-1 run to start the fourth period to make the score 51-39 with 4:24 to play.

Juwan Tyus and Jacob Cleckler combined to lead a 13-2 run for Verbena over the next two minutes that ultimately sealed the win for the Red Devils.

Cleckler led the Red Devils with 17 points, seven rebounds, two steals and two blocks.

Derek Stoudemire led the Bears with 16 points and eight rebounds.
