Jimmy Wayne Martin, 44, of Clanton, passed away on Jan. 6 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster. He was born in Clanton on Oct. 17, 1970, the son of the late Melvin Martin and the late Barbara Bone.

He was a former heavy equipment operator with Saginaw Pipe Company.

He is survived by his wife, Tracy Talley Martin of Clanton; son, Zachery Martin of Clanton; uncle, Steve Bone (Connie) of Fort Smith, Ark.; cousins, Bert Tippet (Kay) and family, and Donna Squires and family.

He is preceded in death by his father, Melvin Martin; mother, Barbara Bone; grandmother, Edith Bone and grandfather, Coy Bone.

Funeral services will be held Jan. 8 at 7 p.m. from the chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home with the Sis. Darlene Dansby and the Rev. Donald Talley officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until service time.

Following the service, in accordance with Martin’s wishes, he will be cremated.
