Chilton County woman pleads not guilty to sex crimes

A Chilton County woman who allegedly committed sex crimes involving minors pleaded not guilty and waived her arraignment last week.
Rebecca Hubbard, 35, of Chilton County, faces a total of 30 charges including 28 felony charges and two misdemeanors, according to court records.
The charges consist of nine counts of enticing a child for immoral purposes, eight counts of rape in the second degree, eight counts of sodomy in the second degree, two counts of facilitating the travel of a child for an unlawful sex act, one count of a school employee engaging in a sex act with a student under the age of 19, one count of sexual abuse in the second degree, and one count of a school employee having sexual contact with a student under the age of 19.
Hubbard chose to waive her arraignment that had been scheduled for Dec. 4 and enter a not guilty plea, according to court documents.
Her next hearing is set for Dec. 11. at 8 a.m. at the Chilton County Courthouse.
Rebecca’s husband, David Hubbard, 40, faces a total of 47 charges including 42 felony charges and five misdemeanors.
David Hubbard’s next hearing is scheduled for April 9, 2015 at 8 a.m. at the Chilton County Courthouse.
Chilton County Circuit Judge John B. Bush filed an order Dec. 5 saying he was transferring both cases to Chilton County Circuit Judge Ben A. Fuller.
Both David Hubbard and Rebecca Hubbard were indicted in November by a special grand jury for allegedly committing sex crimes involving minors.
