Larry Coleman Cleckler Jr., 60, of Clanton, passed away unexpectedly on Nov. 29 at his residence.

“Little Larry” as he was also known, was born in Birmingham on March 5, 1954, the son of the late Larry Coleman Cleckler Sr. and the late Martha Garrison Cleckler.

Cleckler went to sleep knowing and loving his savior Jesus Christ.

He was a house painter.

He is survived by his wife, Marcia Cleckler of Clanton; daughter, Melissa Cleckler (Todd) Abbott of Jemison; daughter, Cherice Cleckler of Clanton; son, Dustin Cleckler of Jemison; grandchildren, Carissa Abbott and Ava Abbott and a host of other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his grandparents, Sylvester and Clara Cleckler.

Visitation will be held Dec. 3 from 6-8 p.m. at Ellison Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Dec. 4 from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Rodriguez and the Rev. Dave Smith officiating.

Burial will follow in the Chilton Memorial Gardens in Clanton.
