Bertie Irene Bryant, 98, of Clanton, passed away Nov. 30 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.

She was born on March 21, 1916, in Chilton County, the daughter of the late Daniel Patterson and the late Betty Elizabeth Dennis Patterson.

She was a practical nurse.

Surviving are her daughters, Ruth Deloach (Earl) of Clanton, Hazel Brand (James) of Clanton; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 14-great-great-grandchildren, six great-great-great-grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roland Bryant; daughter, Catherine Kerins and son, Bobby J. Bryant.

Friends will be received from noon to 2 p.m. Dec. 3 at Martin Funeral Home.

Services will be held Dec. 3 at 2 p.m. at Martin Chapel with the Rev. Jim Shannon officiating.

Interment will follow in Chestnut Creek Baptist Cemetery in Verbena.
