Charles Edward Sansom

Charles Edward Sansom, 77, of Jemison, passed away on Nov. 16 at the Lloyd Noland Hospital at Shelby in Alabaster.

He was born in Chilton County on May 4, 1937, the son of the late Charlie Elijah Sansom and Willie Marie Crane Sansom.

He was a former truck driver.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Sansom of Jemison; daughter, Laura Pate (Steve) of Thorsby; son, Ken (Brenda) Sansom of Thorsby; daughter, Sharon (Tim) Smith of Jemison; six grandchildren, two-great- grandchildren; mother, Willie Sansom of Verbena; and sister, Maureen DeLoach of Verbena.

He is preceded in death by his father, Charlie Sansom; and a brother, Samuel Sansom.

Visitation will be held on Nov. 18, after 5 p.m. at Jemison First Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held Nov. 19 at 1 p.m. from Jemison First Baptist Church with the Rev. Rex Kent officiating.

Burial will follow in Midway Memorial Gardens in Jemison.
