Cold temperatures are expected to arrive in Chilton County later this week.
“Tuesday will be our last warm day this week,” meteorologist Jason Davis with the National Weather Service said Monday afternoon.
Tuesday night and Wednesday morning there will be a slight chance of showers with highs on Wednesday in the upper 50s, Davis said.
Thursday’s temperature will reach the upper 40s with Thursday night temperatures hitting 29 degrees.
Friday should have plenty of sunshine with highs around 49 degrees and overnight lows around 30 degrees.
“This will be a harder freeze for the area compared to what we have seen so far this season,” Davis said.
Saturday’s forecast calls for sunny skies with a high of 54 degrees and a low around 40 degrees with a 30-percent chance of showers.
