Election officials provide sample ballot for General Election
Published 5:27 pm Wednesday, October 29, 2014
The 2014 General Election Ballot for Chilton County voters will include both statewide and local races.
Chilton County Probate Judge Bobby Martin anticipates a “medium sized” turnout this year, compared to election races of previous years.
“I’m not thinking there will be a huge turnout this year,” Martin said.
Martin suggests that voters obtain a sample ballot, and have it pre-marked to take to the polls.
“It helps if you go ahead and mark who you are going to vote for on a sample ballot,” Martin said. “It saves a lot of time if people go ahead and have it marked on a sample ballot who they plan to vote for.”
Not all of the ballots will be the same throughout the county as several offices seeking election fall under a particular district.
Martin said if individuals weren’t familiar with which district they fall under, poll workers would have the option to look up that information.
Sample ballots are available at the Probate Office in the Chilton County Courthouse.
Polls will be open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.
