Editor’s note: Below is a compilation of the statistics and achievements compiled by graduates of Chilton County area schools who now compete at the college level.

Football

Anthony Johnson (Maplesville 2013) covered 64 yards and two touchdowns on four receptions for Jacksonville State University (6-1, 4-0 Ohio Valley Conference) in a 49-3 victory at home against Tennessee Technological University (3-5, 2-3 Ohio Valley Conference) on Oct. 25 in Jacksonville.

For the season, the sophomore has compiled 176 yards and three touchdowns on 16 receptions.

Riley Tindol (Autauga Academy 2014) is a 6-foot-5, 275-pound offensive lineman for Vanderbilt University, which fell to 2-6 overall and 0-5 in Southeastern Conference play after a 24-14 loss at the University of Missouri (6-2, 3-1 Southeastern conference) on Oct. 25 in Columbia, Mo.

The freshman is a Billingsley native.

Spencer Watley (Chilton County 2013) is a 5-foot-10, 258-pound offensive lineman for Jacksonville State University.

Randy Satterfield (Jemison 2014) hauled in one reception for 16 yards as a wide receiver for the University of West Alabama (4-4, 1-3 Gulf South Conference) in a 45-24 loss at home to Delta State University (6-1, 4-1 Gulf South Conference) on Oct. 25 in Livingston.

For the season, the freshman has compiled 133 yards and two touchdowns on six receptions and 89 yards on six punt returns.

Javae Swindle (Jemison 2012) returned one kick for 17 yards for West Alabama.

During the competition, the NCAA Division II All-American second-team performer competed as a running back, also.

For the season, he’s totaled 388 yards and two TDs on 65 rushing attempts and 115 yards on nine receptions.

Cameron Andrews (Maplesville 2013) is a 5-foot-9, 219-pound linebacker for West Alabama.

Kortlin Zeigler (Jemison 2014) is a 6-foot-2, 240-pound tight end for West Alabama.

RaeQuane Jones (Jemison 2014) delivered two tackles as a linebacker for Miles College (5-3, 4-1 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) in a 51-0 sweep of Lane College (1-6, 1-4 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) on Oct. 25 in Jackson, Tenn.

For the year, the freshman has tallied six tackles.

Taylor Hughes (Chilton County 2010) tallies more than 300 total yards and three touchdowns as a quarterback for Huntingdon College, which fell to 5-3 overall and 4-2 in USA South Athletic Conference play after a 24-17 loss at home to Lagrange College (4-4, 2-4 USA South Athletic Conference) on Oct. 25 in Montgomery.

Damian Mitchell (Maplesville 2014) has compiled 35 yards on two kick returns and four yards on one reception as a wide receiver for Birmingham-Southern College, which moved 3-5 overall and 3-1 in Southern Athletic Association action after a 23-17 loss at home to Berry (2-5, 1-3 Southern Athletic Association) on Oct. 25 in Birmingham.

Men’s golf

Forrest Knight (Chilton County 2013) captured the No.1 position for the University of North Alabama golf program at the TVA Credit Union Classic by clinching fourth place overall with a three-round score of 216 (75-69-72) from Oct. 20-21 in Killen.

Among the field of 17 teams, the Lions finished second.

Ivan Truss (Chilton County 2014) is a freshman for Samford University, which will resume competition at the Western Carolina University Hummingbird Intercollegiate from Nov. 1-2 in Cashiers, N.C.

In his most recent appearance, he finished as the No. 4 performer for the Bulldogs at the Autotrader.com Collegiate Classic by tying for 67th place with a two-round score of 156 (82-74) from Oct. 13-14 in Duluth, Ga.

Among the field of 12 teams, SU finished 12th.

Rodeo

Zachary Wilson (Billingsley 2012) is a junior for West Alabama, which will resume competition by hosting the UWA Rodeo Showdown from Oct. 30 to Nov. 1 in Livingston.

Heading into the event, the junior will look for a victory in tie-down roping for the third consecutive time this season.

Nelson Wyatt (Chilton County 2011) is also a senior for West Alabama.

Heading into the upcoming competition, he is coming off back-to-back victories in tie-down roping and team roping.

Volleyball

Amber Wyatt (Isabella 2011) is a middle blocker for the University of South Alabama, which fell to 10-12 overall and 5-7 in Sun Belt Conference play after a 3-0 loss at Arkansas State University (13-8, 8-4 Sun Belt Conference) on Oct. 25 in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

Alandra Griffith (Isabella 2014) is a freshman for Wallace Community College-Selma, which finished with a 9-15 record and a 4-10 mark in Alabama Community College Conference action.

For the year, she compiled 50 kills, 13 blocks, three digs and one ace.

Keely Powell (Isabella 2014) provided appearances in two sets as a defensive special for Wallace Community College-Selma.

Ericka Brascome (Isabella 2014) completed her first year as a right side hitter for Wallace Community College-Selma.
