Billy Earl Wells Sr., 67, of Ashville passed away on Friday, Sept. 19, at his home.

He was born on July 7, 1947, to the late Carl Eugene Wells and the late Etheline Monfee Wells.

He was a carpenter.

He is survived by his son, Billy E. (Tisha) Wells Jr. of Jemison; son, Michael E. (Leslie) Wells of Rockford; daughter, Margie A. (Adam) Bennington of Ashville; five grandchildren; and a brother, James H. (Charlotte) Wells of Clanton.

He is preceded in death by a brother, Howard Wells, and his parents, Carl and Etheline Wells.

Graveside services were held on Thursday, Sept. 24, at 11 a.m. at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery in Clanton with the Rev. Thurmond Cleckler officiating.

The family received friends one hour prior to the service at Ellison Memorial Funeral Home.
