Clanton Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a suspect who robbed a Clanton business on Sept. 12.
At about 1:20 p.m. on Sept. 12, a black male entered the Check N Go located off Logan Road. The subject demanded cash while armed with what appeared to be a Glock handgun.
After taking the money, the suspect forced the clerk into a back room and took her cell phone to prevent her from notifying authorities.
The cell phone was located by detectives near Interstate 65 Exit 205 during the investigation.
The suspect may have left the scene of the robbery in a silver car and headed south toward Prattville on I-65.
The suspect is believed to be linked to at least two other robberies, in Montgomery on June 27 and in Auburn on Aug. 5.
Police said he was wearing the same clothes during the Auburn robbery as he wore last week, including a green T-shirt with yellow undershirt and blue ballcap.
Anyone with information is asked to call Clanton Police Department Sgt. Cameron Bates at (205) 755-1194.
