Nelson Samuel Brady, 85, of Jemison, passed away Sept. 12.

A memorial service will be Sept. 18 at 11 a.m. at Union Grove Baptist Church in Jemison.

Brady is preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Brady; son, Terry Brady; brother, Clare Brady and sisters, Ethel Haywood and Margaret Roache.

He is survived by his son, Larry Nelson Brady; sisters, Opal Sifton, Nellie Stam; daughter-in-law, Rune Smak; grandchildren, Paul Phillips, Sally Allport, Penny Means, Gina Verus, Mary Roberts, Amy Brown; 12 great-grandchildren and numerous other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
