Billy Jerrell Griffin, 68, of Clanton, a long time resident of Chilton County, passed away Aug. 17.
Griffin was a loved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend.
He was a hard working master plumber and electrician, as well as a well-known fisherman on area lakes.
Most importantly, in his later years, he found great pleasure in following Jesus’ command to become a “fisher of men” as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
He will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard L. and Etta R. Hayes Griffin.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen R. Griffin; daughter, Sherry A. Griffin Dingee (Michael); grandsons, Jacob and Michael Dingee; nephew, Charles Griffin (Pam) and a host of other nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at the Clanton Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 2301 Yellowleaf Road on Aug. 21 at 7 p.m.
Everyone who would like to join is welcome.
