Eloise P. Howard

Eloise P. Howard, 92, a resident of Sherman, Texas, passed away Aug. 14 at the Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas, surrounded by all her remaining children.
She was born Dec. 18, 1921, in Calhoun County, the daughter of Eddie Monroe Parker and Geneva Bell Sandlin Parker.
She graduated high school in Alabama and attended a business college in Sherman, Texas.
She married Denslo Honeycutt in Clanton on Feb. 22, 1947.
They were blessed with a son, Charles E. Honeycutt.
They both preceded her in death.
On March 27, 1982, she married the Rev. Harold Gene “Pete” Howard, in Pilot Point, Texas, and became “mom” to his five grown children.
He also preceded her in death.
Howard loved being outside working in her yard and remained active until her death.
In prior years, she enjoyed being active in her church and teaching Sunday School.
She had been a faithful servant of her Lord her entire life.
She retired from First National Bank in Clanton, in 1982.
She was a member of the Harvest Time Assembly of God Church in Sherman.
She is survived by four children, Tommy Howard (Joyce) of Groveton, Texas, Diane Hebert (Buck) of Vernal, Utah, Michael Howard (Carolyn) of Pottsboro, Texas and Cozetta Findley of Texarkana, Texas; two sisters, Jean Holy and Beth Davis, both of Fort Scott, Kan.; two brothers, Leon Parker (Imogene) of Everton, Mo., and Billy Parker (Margarete) of Neosho, Mo.; daughter-in-law, Terry Honeycutt and sister-in-law, Edna Parker of Abilene, Texas.
Howard was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; son, Charles Honeycutt; daughter, Doris Patterson; two brothers, James and Joe Parker; two sisters, Evelyn Parker and Mary Lois Parker and sister-in-law, Leona Parker.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Aug. 18, at the Harvest Time Assembly of God Church in Sherman with the Rev. Nathan Cain officiating.
Burial followed in the West Hill Cemetery in Sherman.
Pallbearers were her grandchildren, Michael Honeycutt, Caleb Reichert, Chris Findley, Steve Howard, Sherri Fitzgerald, and Steve White.
The visitation was held on Aug. 17 from 6-8 p.m. at the Waldo Funeral Home.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman, Texas.
