Lora Lee Roper, 84, of Jemison, passed away on Aug. 1 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Chilton County on Dec. 29, 1929, the daughter of the late Lloyd Caton and the late Geneva Robinson Caton.
She was a former sitter and caretaker.
She is survived by, daughter, Brenda Manley (Don) of White House, Tenn.; daughter, Vickie Edwards (James) of Jemison; son, Terry Rhodes (Annette) of Clanton; grandchildren, Melissa Ellison-Geisler, Kevin Vines, Joshua Rhodes, Shon Hobbs and Nickolas Rhodes; nine-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Billy Joe Caton of Jemison.
She is preceded in death by her son, Larry Wayne Rhodes; parents, Lloyd and Geneva Caton; brother, Leon Caton and two sisters, Mary Frances Rogers and Imogene Smith.
Visitation will be held Aug. 2 from 6-8 p.m. at Ellison Memorial Funeral Home.
Funeral services were held Aug. 3 at 2 p.m. from Pates Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Darrell Jones officiating.
Burial will follow in the Pates Chapel Baptist Cemetery in Thorsby.
