James Anderson Jacks

James Anderson Jacks, 86, of Clanton, passed away July 26.
He was born on Dec. 1, 1927, in Chilton County, the son of the late John A. Jacks and the late Letha Sullivan Jacks.
He was a farmer.
He is survived by his daughter, Doris Blankenship (Ronnie) of Clanton; son-in-law, Cleveland Jones (Barbara) of Clanton; grandsons, Derrell Jones (Debra) of Clanton; Jeramey Scott (Melissa) Blankenship of Clanton; granddaughter, Veronica Edwards (Tony) of Clanton; 10 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and brother, William Jacks of White City.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John A. and Letha Jacks; wife, Mary Faye Jacks; daughter, Glenda Faye Jones; sister, Mary Hallisey; sister, Lillian Vanderslice; brothers, Marion Jacks and Odis Jacks.
Friends were received from 5-8 p.m. July 28 at Zion Ridge Church of God.
Services will be held July 29 at 2 p.m. at Zion Ridge Church of God with the Rev. Ronnie Blankenship and the Rev. Jason Kelley officiating.
Interment will follow in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Clanton.
