Horace Greely Moore, 99, of Verbena, passed away on July 12 at Merrywood Lodge in Elmore.

He was born on Jan. 14, 1915, in Chilton County, the son of the late Henley Harrison Moore and the late Julizzie Robinson Moore.

He was a carpenter.

He is survived by his daughters, Celestia Clackler of Prattville and Sarah Griffin of Blountsville; sons, David Moore of Verbena and Daniel Moore of Verbena; 17 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Wynell Jones Moore and daughter, Evelyn Davis.

Funeral services will be held July 14 at 11 a.m. from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in Chestnut Creek Cemetery in Verbena.
