Jo Anne Hayes Ricks, 76, of Pelham, passed away on June 30.

She retired from Alabama Power after 37 years of service as a customer service representative.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Leon Ricks; her parents, Clay and Marzelle Hayes; three sisters, Mary Newman, Betty Robinson and Ruby Harding; two brothers, Howard Hayes and Frank Hayes.

Ricks is survived by her son, Marty Higginbotham (Ashley); grandson, Liam Higginbotham; two sisters, Peggy Crawford and Jane Gore; three brothers, Harry Hayes, Robert Hayes (Alice) and Gary Hayes (Pat) and a host of nieces and nephews.

The funeral service for Ricks will be at 10:30 a.m. July 3 at Jefferson Memorial Chapel.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Burial will immediately follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
