Bobby Gene Varden, 65, of Jemison, passed away on June 26 at his residence. He was born in Chilton County on Dec. 31, 1948, the son of the late Roy Lee Varden and the late Sadie Wilson Varden.

He was a welder.

He is survived by daughter, Amanda Bittinger of Jemison; companion, Anna Faye Robertson of Jemison; step-son, Danny Wayne Robertson of Jemison; step-son, Bo Robertson of Calera; step-daughter, Wanda Ingram of Wilsonville; grandson, Cody Robertson of Calera; niece, June Bryant of Shelby; nephews, Royce Vanderslice and Mark Johnson of Jemison.

Visitation will be held June 27 from 5-8 p.m. at Ellison Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held June 28 at 3 p.m. from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. J. Aaron Ellison officiating.

Burial will follow in the Union Grove Community Cemetery in Jemison.
