Florence “Inez” Gilliland, 77, of Verbena, passed away June 15.

She was born June 23, 1936, in Autauga County, the daughter of the late Webster E. Barrett and the late Willie Mae Adams Barrett.

She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her daughters, Patsy D. Smitherman (Billy Wayne) of Clanton; Sue S. Stange (Harold) of Prattville; son, Webb C. Gilliland of Verbena; sisters, Betty Johnson (Clay) of Clanton, Gertie Sanders (Elize) of Verbena, Annie Barrett of Verbena and Tink Smart (Roger) of Bay St. Louis, Miss.; granddaughters, Kelly Dopson (Paul) of Verbena, Mandy Womack (Randell) of Prattville; grandsons, Jereme Smitherman (Leanne) of Verbena and Kevin Stange (Nicole) of Prattville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Henry Gilliland; parents, Webster and Willie Mae Barrett.

Friends will be received from 10-11 a.m. June 18 at Corinth Baptist Church.

Services will be held June 18 at 11 a.m. at Corinth Baptist Church with Bro. Jack Jones officiating.

Interment will follow in Chestnut Creek Baptist Cemetery in Verbena.
