Frances Jewel Casey

Frances Jewel Casey, 74, of Hueytown, passed away on June 1, at UAB Hospital in Birmingham. She was born in Meek on Jan. 19, 1940, the daughter of the late Emmitt C. Skinner and the late Lillie Conley Skinner.

She was a former special education teacher’s aide with the Jefferson County School System.

She is survived by her daughter, Renea Hollis (Tim) of Jemison; daughter, Debbie Bridgmon (Ricky) of Hueytown; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and son-in-law, Chester Hinton (Jackie) of Hueytown.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry M. Casey and her daughters, Teri Hinton and Lynn Owens.

Funeral services will be held June 4 at 2 p.m. from the Grant Street Baptist Church in Bessemer with the Rev. Jason Green and the Rev. John Pullen officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will follow in the Forest Grove Cemetery in Pleasant Grove.
