Janet M. Knotts, 60, of Clanton died Monday, May 12 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.

She was born on Wednesday, Aug. 12, 1953, in Chilton County, daughter of the late Clyde Mims and the late Mary Alice Ellison Mims.

She was a florist.

Surviving are her husband, Joe Knotts of Clanton; son, Jody (Carol) Martin of St. Augustine, Fla.; daughters, Jennifer (Chad) Maddox of Clanton, Jessica (Andrew) Fayette of Clanton; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, two sisters and two brothers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Mary Alice Mims, and two brothers.

Friends will be received from 1–2 p.m., Thursday, May 15 at Bell Lane Baptist Church.

Services will be held Thursday, May 15 at 2 p.m. at Bell Lane Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeff Mims officiating.

Interment will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery in Clanton.
