Alacare Home Health and Hospice in Clanton will celebrate Founder’s Day on Friday with a luncheon from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Alacare Home Health and Hospice is located at 206 Medical Center Drive in Clanton.

All donations and proceeds will benefit the Hospice & Home Health Fund of Alabama (HHHFA), a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that Alacare works closely with throughout the year.

The event will be a luncheon celebrating Alacare’s founders and the hard work and service from employees.

For those interested in donating to the HHHFA, checks can be made payable to Hospice & Health Fund of Alabama and mailed to 2400 John Hawkins Pkwy, Birmingham, AL 35244, or visit www.hhhfa.org and click on the “make a donation” link.

This event not only honors the memory of the Alacare founders—Charles D. Beard Jr. and wife, Mary Sue—but also raises money to assist low-income Alacare patients.

Without help from the HHHFA, these patients might not be able to continue receiving the care they need.

HHHFA helps provide:

•Non-covered medical equipment

•Medication assistance

•Minor home repairs

•Personal hygiene products

•Payment of utility bill(s)

•Small appliances

•Eyewear and hearing aids

•Clothing

•Food

•Assistance with rent/mortgage
