Faye Marie Boothe

Faye Marie Boothe, 78, of Jemison, and a former resident of Linden, passed away on April 15 at UAB.

She was born in Bessemer on June 10, 1935, the daughter of the late Ollie Eugene Smitherman and the late Maude Vivian Brantley Smitherman.

She worked as a hostess at Mike’s Diner in Panama City Beach, Fla. for more than 20 years.

She is survived by her daughter, Debra Vinzant of Jemison; daughter, Connie Marie Sims of Ponce de Leon, Fla.; daughter, Vivian Denise Albert of Panama City Beach, Fla.; grandchildren, Ronald Matthew Vinzant, Brandon Ray Vinzant, Michael Terrell Albert, Savannah Sims Spears and Austin Sims; great-grandchildren Jamie Vinzant, Eathan Spears, Jocelyn Vinzant, Arriana Spears, Loretta Albert, Malina Albert and Jase Vinzant who is due in August; sister, Barbara Walker of Linden and sister, Doris Young of Linden.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Herman T. Boothe and son, Michael Terrell Boothe.

A memorial service will be held April 28 at 6 p.m. from Mineral Springs Baptist Church in Clanton with the Rev. Jason Rothe officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, please make a memorial contribution to the American Heart Association.
