Editor’s note: Below is a compilation of the statistics and achievements compiled by graduates of Chilton County area schools who now compete at the college level.

Baseball

Chance Calloway (Chilton County 2012) contributes 11 appearances and eight starts as a pitcher for Lurleen B. Wallace Community College (19-19, 9-13 Alabama Community College Conference) to deliver a 3-3 record, two complete games, 50 innings pitched, 32 strikeouts and a 2.88 ERA.

Alex Campbell (Jemison 2013) hurled two strikeouts and allowed one earned run in a 4 1/3-inning effort as the starting pitcher for Wallace Community College at Selma (18-27, 6-12 Alabama Community College Conference) to capture his second win of the season in a 2-1 victory at Marion Military Institute (8-30-1, 1-16 Alabama Community College Conference) on April 16 in Marion.

For the season, the freshman totals 30 appearances at various positions to contribute eight RBI, two doubles, two walks, one run scored and a .214 batting average.

As a pitcher, he tallies 13 appearances and eight starts to deliver a 2-3 record, two complete games, 62 innings, 25 strikeouts and a 4.21 ERA.

Cameron Cummings (Chilton County 2013) highlighted a three-game hitting streak by batting 1-for-5 with two runs scored and one RBI for the University of South Alabama (17-22, 7-10 Sun Belt Conference) in a 13-10 victory at Western Kentucky University (19-19, 7-9 Sun Belt Conference) on April 18 in Bowling Green, Ky.

For the season, the outfielder totals 31 appearances and 24 starts to compile 14 walks, 13 runs scored, 10 RBI, two doubles, two stolen bases and a .271 batting average.

Craig Headley (Chilton County 2013) saw his six-game hitting streak come to close for Jefferson Davis Community College (19-18, 4-11 Alabama Community College Athletic Conference) in an 8-4 victory at Lawson State Community College (16-26, 3-17 Alabama Community College Athletic Conference) on April 15 in Birmingham.

In the competition, the catcher scored one run.

On April 17, the freshman batted 1-for-2 with one RBI in a 5-2 loss at home against Alabama Southern Community College (25-12-1, 16-6 Alabama Community College Conference) in Brewton.

For the season, he compiles 31 appearances to contribute 21 RBI, 19 runs scored, 16 walks, six doubles, one stolen base and a .312 batting average.

Bo Hoffman (Thorsby 2013) compiles five appearances and two starts as a pitcher for Marion Military (8-30-1, 1-16 Alabama Community College Conference) to contribute a 1-1 record, 8 1/3 innings pitched, eight strikeouts and an 11.88 ERA.

Stephen Mims (Thorsby 2013) adds four appearances and one start as a pitcher for Wallace Community College at Selma to provide an 0-1 record, 8 1/3 innings pitched, three strikeouts and a 5.40 ERA.

Men’s golf

Forrest Knight (Chilton County 2013) represented the University of North Alabama at the Gulf South Conference Tournament from April 21-22 in Tunica, Miss.

Results were not available at the time of press.

In the freshman’s most recent competition, he posted a tie for 45 at the Argonaut Invitational with a three-round score of 224 (72-77-75) from March 31-April 1 in Pensacola, Fla.

Softball

Brianna Cleckler (Chilton County 2013) collected two recent victories and advanced her winning streak to 10 consecutive games as a pitcher for Southern Union State Community College (42-8, 10-0 Alabama Community College Conference).

On April 17, the freshman collected her 17th win of the season by contributing six strikeouts, allowing two hits and not allowing an earned run en route to tallying a complete-game performance in a 7-0 shutout at Chattahoochee Valley Community College (26-21, 3-7 Alabama Community College Conference) in Phenix City.

On April 19, she tallied win No. 18 with a complete-game performance by delivering four strikeouts in a 12-8 victory at Central Alabama Community College (35-16, 8-4 Alabama Community College Conference) in Alexander City.

For the season, she totals 26 appearances and 23 starts to deliver an 18-3 record, 16 complete games, 131 innings pitched, 91 strikeouts and a 2.24 ERA.

Tiffany Guin (Jemison 2012) collected her 14th win of the season by hurling two strikeouts and allowing one earned run in a five-inning effort as a relief pitcher for Central Alabama Community College (35-16, 8-4 Alabama Community College Conference) in a 15-1 victory at Enterprise State Community College (9-19, 2-12 Alabama Community College Conference) on April 15 in Enterprise.

For the season, the sophomore compiles 27 appearances and 15 starts to contribute a 14-7 record, two saves, 102 innings, 52 strikeouts and 3.98 ERA.

Shelby Lopez (Jemison 2012) batted 2-for-3 with four runs scored and one RBI for Central Alabama Community College (35-16, 8-4 Alabama Community College Conference) in a 21-0 thrashing of Enterprise State Community College (9-19, 2-12 Alabama Community College Conference) in Game 1 of a doubleheader on April 15 in Enterprise.

In Game 2, the infielder finished 2-for-3 with two runs scored and one RBI in a 15-1 triumph.

In the sophomore’s most recent competition, she batted 2-for-3 with two runs scored and one RBI in a 12-8 loss at home against Southern Union State Community College (42-8, 10-0 Alabama Community College Conference) on April 19 in Alexander City.

For the season, she totals 51 appearances to contribute 38 runs scored, 24 walks, 22 RBI, eight doubles, three home runs, one triple and a .309 batting average.

Lauren Stewart (Chilton County 2012) batted 1-for-1 for Southern Union State Community College (42-8, 10-0 Alabama Community College Conference) in a 7-0 win at Chattahoochee Valley Community College (26-21, 3-7 Alabama Community College Conference) on April 17 in Phenix City.

For the season, the sophomore infielder tallies 31 appearances to contribute 11 RBI, 10 runs scored, nine walks, four doubles and a .382 batting average.

Women’s outdoor track and field

Lori Davis (Billingsley 2012) captured fourth place in the javelin at the War Eagle Invitational with a 136-7 for Alabama State University on April 18 in Auburn.
