Doris Kay Tippett, 75, of Clanton, passed away March 29 at Baptist Princeton in Birmingham.

She was born on May 11, 1938, in Elmore County, the daughter of the late Elbert Bone and the late Effie Inez Deavers Bone.

She was a Walmart associate.

She is survived by her son, Bert Tippett (Kay) of Clanton; daughter, Donna Tippett (Phillip) Squires of Rock Creek; four grandchildren, Johnny Tippett (Mary), Olivia Tippett, Lexi Tippett, Gloria Tippett and great-grandchild, Anthony Tippett.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elbert and Effie Bone and son, Michael Tippett.

Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. April 1 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held April 2 at 10 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Smith and the Rev. Bert Tippett officiating.

Interment will follow in Shiloh Baptist Cemetery in Clanton.
