Calvary Independent Baptist Church

Sunday morning service included a message from John 19 titled “Our Great God and Savior Jesus Christ.” We looked at how he was presented before the people as the man who made himself equal to God. The reality was that he was not man trying to make himself God; he was God who had made himself man. He offered himself as the sacrificial Lamb and became the Savior who took away the sins of the world.

We hope you are saved and are members of that one body that will be caught out to meet him in the air. Oh, what a glorious day that will be!

We had a baptismal service immediately following the regular morning service. We ask that you be in prayer with us that God›s word and work keep going forth, that we may continue seeing souls saved and lives changed as only the Lord Jesus Christ can do.

Sunday evening services included a message from Romans 1:13-21, 1 Corinthians 10:1-6, Psalms 19:1-4, Romans 10:17-18 and other passages on theology. We looked at seven arguments to defend the theory that there is indeed the one creator, which is God. We looked at the fact that all mankind has a general revelation through time, creation and conscience to know there is a God and worship is due him. General revelation passes all language barriers and makes every person responsible for what he knows. We looked at how man has a revelation, a responsibility and a relationship with the Creator. Man has been given enough revelation to make him responsible to his creator, and that person will have a relationship with God as being for him or against him.

There are many today who teach false doctrines and deny the Lord who bought them. They bring upon themselves swift destruction, just as 2 Peter 2:1 describes them. Sadly many who are saved can be drawn away into these crowds, especially if we fail to stand for and preach and teach the fundamentals of our Christian faith.

We hope that you are on God›s side, redeemed by the blood of the Lamb, and standing for the truth of God›s word. There is no greater joy than serving the Lord Jesus Christ. Would you commit to serving him today and be found faithful as a good steward of what God has given you?

We would like to invite you to visit with us this Sunday.
