Tiffany Guin (Jemison 2012) collected her fourth consecutive victory and fifth complete game effort for Central Alabama Community College (17-4) in a 13-2 thrashing of Lurleen B. Wallace Community College (3-8) on March 4 in Andalusia.

In the competition, the sophomore hurler collected a game-high in strikeouts and allowed four hits and two earned runs.

For the season, she totals 15 appearances and nine starts to contribute a 9-2 record, two saves, a team-high 52 innings pitched, 27 strikeouts and a 3.77 ERA.

Shelby Lopez (Jemison 2012) batted 3-for-3 with two runs scored and one RBI for Central Alabama Community College (17-4) in a 12-4 triumph at home against Marion Military Institute (6-14) on March 8 in Alexander City, Ala.

For the season, the sophomore infielder totals 21 appearances to bat 21-for-64 (.328 batting average) with 13 runs scored, nine RBI, six doubles, four stolen bases, one triple and one home run.

Lauren Stewart (Chilton County 2012) batted 1-for-2 with one run scored for Southern Union State Community College (19-6) in a 6-5 triumph against Heartland Community College (2-6) on March 2 in Columbus, Ga.

For the season, the sophomore infielder totals 13 appearances to bat 8-for-25 (.320 batting average) with four runs scored, four RBI and two doubles.

Women’s outdoor track and field

Lori Davis (Billingsley 2012) enters her sophomore season for Alabama State University after contributing an outstanding freshman year for the Yellow Jackets highlighted by a runner-up finish in the javelin at the Southwestern Athletic Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships with a mark of 115 feet, 10.25 inches.

For her career, she tallies a personal record in the event of 128-9.25.
