Jerry Mack Bingham Sr., 67, of Deatsville, passed away Jan. 21.

He was born on Aug. 30, 1946, in Clarkesville, Ga., the son of the late Floyd Cleveland Bingham and the late Edith Vivian Chestnut Bingham.

Bingham was an accomplished entrepreneur and a successful automobile dealer/salesman and recreational real estate developer.

He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Melanie Hicks Bingham of Deatsville; son, Jerry Mack Bingham Jr. (Chanel) of Thorsby; daughters, Jerilyn Bingham Wiggins (Rob) of Tuscaloosa, Ashley Williams of Millbrook; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers, Bobby Bingham (Louise) of Jemison, Steve Bingham (Hazel) of Dauphin Island, Floyd “Bubba” Bingham (Carolyn) of Prattville, Doyle Bingham (Donna) of Wetumpka; sisters, Joan Searcy (Bill) of Holtville, Linda Bingham of Rome, Ga.; sister-in-law, Lisa “Sissy” Gilbert of Montgomery; brother-in-law, Billy Wynn Hicks (Sue) of Montgomery and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd Cleveland and Edith Vivian Bingham.

Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m. Jan. 24 at Martin Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held Jan. 25 at 11 a.m. in Martin Memorial Cemetery in Clanton with Jack Barrett officiating.
