All government offices in Chilton County including Clanton City Hall, Jemison City Hall, Thorsby Town Hall and Maplesville Town Hall as well as the Chilton County Courthouse will be closed Monday, Jan. 20, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Chilton County Schools will also be closed.

Jefferson State Community College Chilton-Clanton campus will be closed on Monday as well as Chilton Christian Academy.

Thorsby’s council meeting which was originally scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Monday has been rescheduled for Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.

Jemison’s council meeting has been cancelled with the next meeting on Feb. 3 at 6 p.m.
