Betty Sue Owens, 74, of Clanton, passed away on Jan. 12.
She was born on Sept. 1, 1939, in Chilton County, the daughter of the late Tommy Mims and the late Lena Billingsley Mims.
She was a packer.
Surviving are her daughters, Debra Driver (Keith) of Clanton, Carol Dedman (Joe) of Clanton; granddaughter, Amber Driver of Clanton; grandson, Jared Driver of Clanton; great-grandson, Keenan McMann of Montgomery; sister and best friend, Faye Ward of Clanton; half-brothers, Jackie Mims (Gwyn) of Alabaster, Ronald Mims (Sandra) of Clanton and Jimmy Mims (Joyce) of Mississippi.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Owens; sisters, Lorene Thomas, Helen Bates, Eunice Driver and Lola Robinson and brother, Thomas Mims.
Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m. Jan. 14 at Martin Funeral Home.
Services will be held Jan. 15 at 11 a.m. at First Assembly of God with the Rev. Randy Reid officiating.
Interment will follow in Chilton Memorial Gardens in Clanton.
