Marzelle Edwards, 95, of Clanton, passed away on Dec. 15 at Chandler Health and Rehab in Alabaster.

She was born in Chilton County on March 20, 1918, the daughter of the late Ollie McDowell and the late Nora Taylor McDowell.

She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Lindsey (Hershell) of Leeds; son, Robert Edwards of Clanton; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren and sister, Sally Payne of Homewood.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edwards; son, Charles Edwards Jr.; son, James Thomas Edwards and son, Ollie Clyde Edwards.

Graveside funeral services will be held Dec. 18 at 11 a.m. in Concord Baptist Cemetery in Clanton with the Rev. Jon Meads officiating.

There will be no visitation.
