Funeral services for Clara Keel Smith, 79, were Dec. 9 at 11 a.m. at New Hope Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Austin Ball officiating. Burial will be in Verbena Community Cemetery in Verbena.

Smith passed away Dec. 7 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Birmingham. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pettus Smith.

She is survived by her sons, Randall Dwayne Smith (Susan) of Georgia and Andrew Leman Smith (Tina) of Florida; daughters, Tammy Rhea Smith Lett (Brent) of Alabama and Carol Renee Smitherman (Ronald) of Alabama; sister, Jean Keel Lacher of Alabama; grandchildren, Meghan Smitherman, Kelsey Richardson, Katie Lett and Kyle Smith.

Visitation was Dec. 9 from 10-11 a.m. at New Hope Assembly of God in Clanton.
