Bessie Mae Cleckley, 89, of Clanton, passed away Dec. 2 at Brookwood Medical Center in Birmingham.

She was born on July 25, 1924, in Chilton County, the daughter of the late Allen Fonza Brown and the late Eula Ann Hathcock.

She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her daughters, Gail Turner (Lloyd) of Anniston; Brenda Widner (Ron) of Hueytown; two grandsons; three granddaughters and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Cleckley; four brothers and five sisters.

Friends will be received from 5-7 p.m. Dec. 4 at Martin Funeral Home.

Services will be held Dec. 5 at 2 p.m. at Zion Ridge Church of God.

Interment will follow in Mount Pisgah Cemetery in Clanton.
