Authorities are continuing to investigate a single-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon that resulted in a fatality.

Kevin Black, 38, of Brent, was killed when the 1999 Kenworth he was driving left the roadway and overturned.

The crash occurred on U.S. 82, five miles east of Maplesville at 3:20 p.m.

Alabama Department of Public Safety Public Information/Education Unit spokesman Sgt. Steve Jarrett said seat belts were not in use at the time of the crash.

Alabama State Troopers are conducting the investigation.

No additional information was available on Thursday.
