Glennon Charles “Chuck” Sommers

Glennon Charles “Chuck” Sommers, 64, of Ranburne, passed away on Nov. 17 at his residence. He was born in St. Louis, Mo. on April 2, 1949, the son of the late Glennon John Sommers and the late Charlotte Mae Cunningham Sommers.
He was a former maintenance mechanic with CKS Packaging in Atlanta.
He also served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict.
He is survived by his wife, Annie Davenport Sommers of Ranburne; son, Steve Sommers (Kathie) of Carrolton, Ga.; son, Scott Sommers (Stacey) of Orlando, Fla.; grandchildren, Michael Sommers, Heather Beverly (Joe), Travis Sommers, Eric Sommers and Shaealyn Sommers; great-grandchild, Aniken Snyder; sister, Kathleen Simpson of Schaumburg, Ill.; sister, Denise Finelli of Kenesaw, Ga., sister, Cullie Pouncey of Sardis; sister, Laurie Roberts of Sardis and his beloved canine companion and buddy, Nokie.
Graveside funeral services will be held Nov. 20 at 11 a.m. in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church No. 1 Cemetery in Jemison with the Rev. J. Aaron Ellison officiating.
