Plenty of sunshine and mild temperatures are in the forecast for the weekend and the first part of next week in Chilton County.

National Weather Service meteorologist Mark Rose said no rainfall is in the forecast until Wednesday with a 20-percent chance of rain and thunderstorms.

“Everything is looking nice and fairly dry,” Rose said.

Rose said the average high temperature for this time of year in Chilton County is typically around 70 degrees.

“The high temperatures leading up to Wednesday are going to be in the mid-60s to low 70s,” Rose said. “Lows throughout the weekend and into the early part of next week should be in the 40s each night.”

Rose said temperatures should warm up slightly to the mid-70s on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week.

“It is pretty mild this time of year,” Rose said.

Also, Daylight Saving Time ends this weekend at 2 a.m. Sunday with clocks going back one hour.
