Mary Sue Olson, 90, of Clanton, passed away on Sept. 9 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.

She was born in Chilton County on April 29, 1923, the daughter of the late Enoch Thompson and the late Susie Eliza Baker Thompson.

She was a former social worker with the state of Florida.

She is survived by her daughter, Sue Anne Hoyt of Clanton; son, Michael Bakich of Verbena; daughter, Patty Drake of Verbena; daughter, Jennifer Olson-Ives of Twisp, Wash.; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry Thompson of Clanton and brother, Bobby Thompson of Columbus, Ohio.

Visitation will be held on Sept. 13 from 6-8 p.m. at Pinedale Assembly of God in Clanton.

Funeral services will be held on Sept. 14 at 2 p.m. from Pinedale Assembly of God with the Rev. Thurmond Cleckler officiating.

Burial will follow in the Chilton Memorial Gardens in Clanton.
