Barbara Campbell Dennis, 79, of Verbena, passed away on Aug. 30 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.

She was born in Camden on Dec. 23, 1933, the daughter of the late Percy Campbell and the late Annie Matt Dunn Campbell.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband, Lee Roy Dennis of Verbena; daughter, Mary Ann Bearse of Mobile; son, Gerald W. Dennis of Verbena and grandson, Matthew Bearse of Mobile.

Funeral services were held on Sept. 1 at 4 p.m. from New Harmony Baptist Church with the Rev. Randol Mims officiating.

Burial followed in the New Harmony Baptist Cemetery in Elmore County.
