The 2013–2014 Student/Parent Information Guide for Chilton County Schools is available online at Chilton.k12.al.us.

The guide contains paperwork parents may print out, complete and return prior to the first day of school.

Parents who choose to fill out forms early should check with their children’s schools to find out when they can bring the forms to open houses or orientations next week.

Some schools may also have early locker purchase options or PTO signups during open houses before school starts Aug. 19.

“We encourage them to do all they can just to save their own time and for things not to be quite as hectic,” Chilton County Schools Superintendent Dave Hayden said. “I believe we’ve got everything they could possibly need in here.”

Many of the forms are located toward the back of the guide, which is available in English and Spanish.

In addition to completing all necessary school forms, Hayden said parents are advised to use caution on the roadways around schools as classes resume.

“Please bear with us the first few days of school with bus traffic and car traffic,” Hayden said. “We will have about 97 buses on the road. Please watch out for buses at the usual locations.”
