James Malcolm Cleckley

James Malcolm “Mack” Cleckley, 81, of Clanton, passed away on July 4 at Shelby Medical Center in Alabaster.
He was born on Dec. 3, 1931, in Chilton County, the son of the late Willie and Edna Cleckley.
He was a carpenter.
Surviving are his wife, Martha Cleckley of Clanton; two sons, John Allen Cleckley (Kathy) and Denver Cleckley (Jo); one daughter, Audrey Johnson (Kenny), all of Clanton; one sister, Margaret Ellison Druckemiller; one brother, Ronnie Cleckley (Patricia), all of Clanton; four granddaughters, Kara Cleckley, Jessica (BJ) Jones, Amy Cleckley and Cassie (Todd) Headley, all of Clanton; five grandsons, Jason Cleckley, Hunter Cleckley, John Will Cleckley, Forest Johnson and Jason Ingle, all of Clanton; three great- grandsons, Ryan Below, Kolby Jones and Kolton Jones and one great-granddaughter, Madison Ingle, all of Clanton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Edna Cleckley and infant daughter, Janet Rene’ Cleckley; brothers, Charles Cleckley and Ralph Cleckley and infant grandson, Kenneth Brad Johnson.
Visitation was on July 6 from 5-8 p.m. at Clanton Church of God. Funeral services were held on July 7 at 11 a.m. at Clanton Church of God with the Rev. Billy Boatwright. The burial was at Mt. Pisgah cemetery in Clanton.
Pallbearers were Jason Cleckley, Hunter Cleckley, John Will Cleckley, Forest Johnson, Jason Ingel, John Brown, Bruce Brown, Donald Brown and Daniel Brown.
