Bethany Baptist Church

Bro. Steve’s sermon was taken from Proverbs 25:25: “As cold waters to a thirsty soul, so is good news from a far country.” The Gospel is the “Good News” in a “bad news” world. The gospel of Jesus Christ is the good news a lost person needs to hear and believe. We have been entrusted with the Gospel; we need to share it and people need to hear it.

Sunday night, our pastor continued a study using several scriptures of the ministries of the Holy Spirit.

Our VBS, “The Mighty God: God Loves Moses and Me,” is planned for June 10-12. Pre-registration is scheduled for next Saturday morning, June 8, from 10 a.m. to noon. Our church is located at 9212 County Road 49 in the Enterprise community.

Prayer list: Betty Biggs, James and Vivian Bixler, Doris and Verdie Glenn, Billie Neeley, Ron Peppers, Grace and Elwyn Robinson, Elzie Sanders, Travis Swift and Glenda Wallace.

See you Sunday!

Bro. Cleve welcomed everyone and gave ministry opportunities, then recognized those having birthdays and anniversaries.

In the morning service, Bro. Cleve provided the special music. He sang “How Far Is East From West.”

The message came from Hebrews 11:23-27 about ornery parents, raising your children and doing whatever it takes. Refuse to be like the world and train up a child in the way he should go.

In the evening service, Bro. Phil preached from Acts 16:1-4. His sermon title was “How Do You Raise a Child To Be a Man of God.”

No Wednesday night services due to VBS.
