James (Jim) F. Moore, 96, of Jemison, passed away on June 1 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.

He was born on Saturday, July 1, 1916, in Jefferson County, the son of the late Charles C. Moore and the late Berta Mae Sharitt Moore.

He was a golf course superintendent.

Surviving are his wife, Clara Moore of Jemison; daughters, Phyllis Moseley of Birmingham and Sandra Smith of Convington; son, Timothy R. Moore of Birmingham; sister, Margaret Adams of Centerpoint; eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild.

Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m. on June 5 at Martin Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held on June 6 at 2 p.m. at Jefferson Memorial Cemetery in Trussville with the Rev. Rex Kent and the Rev. Chuck Bass officiating.
