Johnnie Mae Roper Cox, 62, of Montevallo passed away suddenly on April 26 in Jemison.
She was born on May 28, 1950, in Vincent, the daughter of the late Boyd Roper and the late Minnie Lou Black Roper.
She was a housekeeper.
She is survived by her son, Steve Amos (Tina) of Clanton; son, Donny Byrd of Montevallo; daughter, Sharron Byrd Hernandez (Carlos) of Montevallo; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and a sister, Judy Roper Daniels of Columbiana.
She is preceded in death by her son, John Matthew Amos.
Visitation was held on April 30 from 5-8 p.m. at Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home in Clanton.
Funeral services will be held on May 1 at 2 p.m. from the Memorial Chapel of Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home with the Rev. J. Aaron Ellison officiating.
Burial will follow the service at 3:15 p.m. at Still Cemetery in Alabaster.
