State Rep. Kurt Wallace is home recovering after emergency surgery on April 2.

Wallace said he is “resting well” and will undergo a second surgery, probably in June.

“I should be just right as rain from there,” said Wallace, who was treated for a ruptured colon.

Wallace said that while he hasn’t been able to travel to Montgomery, he has tried to keep up with the Legislature’s current session.

“I’ve been on the phone, answering emails, listening to the session online every night,” Wallace said.
