Billy Gene Littleton

Billy Gene Littleton Sr., age 72 of Clanton, passed away on Dec. 18, 2012, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.

He was born in Chilton County on March 13, 1940, the son of the late James Austin Littleton and the late Edna Williams Littleton.

He was an automobile mechanic.

He is survived by: wife, Mildred Littleton of Clanton; son, Billy (Diane) Littleton Jr. of Billingsley; son, Darren (Susan) Littleton of Phoenix City; daughter, Ashley (Denver) McCaig of New York; step-daughter, Betty (Mike) McCary of Clanton; step-daughter, Rose (Tim) Jones of Clanton; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, James (Sarah) Littleton of Billingsley; brother, Howard (Casandra) Littleton of Thorsby; brother, Joey (Darlene) Littleton of Clanton; sister, Sybil (Hershel) Edwards of Clanton; and sister, Bonnie (Wayne) Cleckler of Clanton.

He is preceded in death by his 3-year-old son, Danny Wayne Littleton; father, James Austin Littleton; mother, Edna Williams Littleton; and sister, Peggy Smitherman.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012, from 6–8 p.m. at Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, at 2 p.m. from the Memorial Chapel of Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home with the Rev. Gerald Stamps and the Rev. Thurmond Cleckler officiating.

Burial will follow in New Harmony Holiness Church Cemetery in Clanton.
