Carroll Jones, age 71, a resident of Columbiana, passed away on Oct. 22, 2012.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Oct. 24, at Bolton Funeral Home in Columbiana from 6–8 p.m.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, at Columbiana United Methodist Church with the Rev. Joel Miller officiating.

Mr. Jones will lie in state at the church from 9–11 a.m.

Burial will follow in Pinelawn Gardens.

Mr. Jones worked for Brasfield and Gorrie and Doster, McCory and Golden Construction.

Mr. Jones is preceded in death by his parents, Lucia and Nelma Jones, and his brothers, Johnnie Edward Jones and Lovie Earl Jones.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Jones; daughter, Renea (Donny) Smith; grandchildren, Dustin (Jane) Smith, Kelani Smith; great-grandchildren, Adelynn Grace Smith, Grant Harris Smith; sister, Evaughn (Jim) Gould; brother, Virgil (Joan) Gould; and other family and friends.
